On PC, at least, you can tweak the ini to re-enable max rendering distance for both lightning and shadows, something the PS3 cannot do. That part is broken to bits.Īlso, AFAIK, DA on X360 has one extra difficulty where you ONLY start with the pistol, nothing else and you never get bullets, that difficulty is not present on neither PC or PS3.
#Splinter cell double agent pc full screen manual
NEVER attempt to do a manual save or a manual load. The fancy translucent ice shader used in 2 levels within the game is either nonexistent or worse. Every character in the game is lower poly.
Night vision is different (for the worse). If not even that and you only have a PS3, eh, deal with it and play it there.Ībout the PC version though (same goes for the PS3 version): The lighting is slightly downgraded. If you only have a PC, modify the ini a bit and the game will be just fine. If you only have an X360, play it on that. If you only have an Xbox One/S, play it on that. If you have an Xbox One X, play it on that. So if you are stuck with the PC version, be prepared to be frustrated at the fact that a very good game is hidden behind one of the most incompetent PC ports ever made. It doesn't crash like the PC version and it is overall less buggy, but it is better to avoid this version. PS3 constantly runs at 15 - 20 FPS, some missions have some very small differences in map layout due to the less RAM and its a very unpleasant experience. As of now, no matter how many fixes you apply, you will still run into a crash or a bug to mess with you. PC is full of constant crashes, bugs and missing graphical effects. PC and PS3 on the other hand are one of the worst ports I have ever experienced. The OG Xbox version feels like an early 360 game, probably one of the best looking games of that console. However, all other ports of that generation are fine too, but the graphics are very downgraded compared to the OG Xbox version. Xbox One BC eliminates FPS hiccups as well.įor the "Last Gen" version, OG Xbox is the definitive version. If you want to play the "Next Gen" version, 360 is the safest bet. I can tell you my experience with Double Agent as I have played all the versions minus the GC - Wii versions.
